My Story

 

I am running my first ever Manchester 10k to raise money for the Christie Charity, who help fund the care provided by Christie Hospital.

Not long after joining high school, I was devastated to find out that my mum had been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. This news hit harder than anything i've ever experienced before, I was in genuine disbelief. 3 years on, in the knowledge that mum has to live with cancer, I have learnt to cope better and I am grateful for the care she receives at the christie hospital and for the Christie Charity that supports families affected by cancer.

The money raised will go towards better care and patient experience alongside cancer research and new treatments, all of which, help my mum and other cancer patients across the region.
