My Story
Ten months ago my wonderful mum, Christine, died from a rare and cruel disease that you've probably never heard of. I miss her every day.
Shortly after her funeral - and after about a decade of no exercise - I found myself going out for a run to shake off the physical anxiety that so often comes with grief. I managed about a minute! But since then going out for a run has become an amazing space for me to clear my head (and sometimes have a good cry).
10k still feels like a long way for me, so if you can spare a tenner please sponsor me! Just a pound a kilometre will help raise funds for more research into amyloidosis, in memory of my lovely mum.
