My Story

We are a group of seperated young people from Ethopia, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Sudan and Turkey. Separated, also known as UASC (unaccompanied asylum seeking children) means we made the jounrey to the UK aged U18 seperated from our families, to claim asylum.

We all partake in the Beeing Together Programme at GMYN, through which we have had the opportunity to meet other young people from similar backgrounds, make friends, learrn English, build our confidence and to learn the skills we need to participate in life in the UK.

Now we would like to raise money to continue the support that can provide for us and also to challenge ourselves. We have never had the opportunity to do a race before so we are very excited but also a little nervous! Please contribute to our page to help motivate us to train and support us mentally on the day!
