My Story

In December 2022, my Mum was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Sadly, the cancer cells had spread to multiple parts of her body - making her illness treatable, but incurable. I was heartbroken.

But, The Christie gave us a ray of hope. As the largest single site cancer centre in Europe and a world leader in care and research, they treat more than 60,000 patients a year - including my amazing Mum.

While the NHS provides the essentials, The Christie Charity steps in to fund the over and above projects that make a real difference to patients like Mum.

This includes funding state of the art facilities (like the new Advanced Scanning Centre), world class research, and enhanced patient care.

The demand on their team is higher than ever, and we want to make sure they have the resources to stay at the forefront of cancer care for Mum.

I'm proud to be running the Great Manchester 10K. I'm raising money, and awareness, to help The Christie Charity continue to fund vital research and life-changing projects for our Mum, and other families affected by cancer in the region.

Your support, whether through sponsorship or simply sharing Mum’s story, means the world to me.

Together, we can help The Christie keep moving forward for Mum, and the many other families who rely on their expertise every single day.

Thank you! 🥰
