Alex and Paul’s Great Manchester Run - Half Marathon

My Story

On 31st May, Alex and Paul will be running the Great Manchester Run Half Marathon in support of Tommy’s, a charity incredibly close to their hearts.

They are running in loving memory of Alex’s precious daughter, Orla Mae Merryman - a beautiful little girl who will always be deeply loved and never forgotten. Paul, Orla’s proud uncle, is running alongside Alex to honour her memory and to stand together as a family.

Through this challenge, they hope to raise money for the amazing work Tommy’s does to support families who are pregnant again after the devastating loss of a baby. This journey can be filled with fear and uncertainty, and the care, research, and specialist support Tommy’s provides makes a world of difference to so many families.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps create hope after heartbreak and supports those navigating pregnancy after loss. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.

 

 

 

The AJ Bell Great Manchester Run is the biggest and best running event in the North West. Starting and finishing in the heart of the city, runners soak up the amazing Manchester spirit the whole way round & pass iconic landmarks on their journey to the finish line.

It’s not all about the adults, the AJ Bell Junior & Mini Great Manchester Run give the kids a chance to experience that finish line feeling, earn a special medal & raise money for good causes.
